Jesus comes first and that means he is our ultimate leader. No matter what people or structures we have in place, all human efforts of leading are efforts to help others follow him.
Elders
Our church is governed by the congregation under the leadership of our Board of Elders. Our Elders are comprised of both vocational elders who work for the church and lay elders. These men oversee the preaching and teaching ministry of our church, as well as the direction of our ministries.
Lead Pastor - Micheal Pardue
Dr. Micheal Pardue, Sr. and his wife of nineteen years, Rachel, have four sons, Elijah, Jason, Kyle, and Micheal, Jr. and three daughters, Kristen, Addelyen and Lilyanna. He was called to our church on February 17, 2013.
Micheal is native of Taylorsville, NC where he grew up at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. He was baptized in 1995 and answered the call in to vocational ministry at 13.
Micheal holds a B.A. in Theater Arts from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC, a M.C.M. from the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School at North Greenville University in Greer, SC. and an Ed.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Pardue is active in local, state, and national Southern Baptist Convention life. He previously served as President of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

Associate Pastor - Lor Xiong
Lor Xiong and his wife, Jill, have two children and make their home in Connelly Springs.
Lor is a native of Rhode Island. He holds degrees from Tocca Falls College and Columbia International University.

Associate Pastor - Alex Bishop
Alex Bishop, and his wife, Yoonjeong, have four children and make their home in Connelly Springs. Alex grew up in New England, but progressed further and further west spending 18 years in South Korea before returning to the U.S. and coming to Icard in August of 2019. He has earned degrees from Southwest Baptist University and Biola University.
